I am a 29-year-old artist/printmaker based in Edinburgh. My practice is rooted in print, drawing and painting, with a strong emphasis on line, detail, and atmosphere. I’m interested in the balance between precision and expression, and in creating work that feels both considered and emotionally resonant. My influences range from historical masters such as Rembrandt and Albrecht Dürer to illustrators and printmakers including Alphonse Mucha, James Jean, and Aaron Horkey. From these artists I draw inspiration in their use of line, composition, and storytelling as well as their ability to combine technical discipline with imagination and depth. Through my work I aim to create images that invite closer looking, layers of detail and meaning. My background in textile design has played a significant role in shaping how I approach image-making in both my drawing and print practice. The vast majority of my time at college and university I spent specialising in silk screen printing - working with pattern, repetition, and surface has informed my sensitivity to line and structure therefore leading me to treat line work as both a functional and expressive element. This foundation encourages a methodical layered approach to drawing, where rhythm, flow, and density are carefully considered across the image.
On this website I will have original art works and a variety of different types of prints available to buy. All original artworks come framed, the frames are optional with all prints but are sold separately. Each print will state in the description the specific size of frame needed.
